Letter from the President
With our 30th anniversary rapidly approaching I am astonished by the changes that have taken place since I took control of this family’s business over twenty years ago.

We have witnessed the birth of the PC, Windows, Networking, the Internet, Broadband, and Wireless Communication. We have watched the dot com boom and bust, and we have seen our competitors come and go. But through it all, Add-On Data has remained focused on my parent’s message.

  • Treat your employees like family
  • Seek out the customers who want to do business with you
  • Take a sincere interest in understanding their business, their needs and their pain
  • Give them what they need quicker and better than the competition
  • Do whatever it takes to make it easy for them to keep coming back
  • And if necessary, put their order in your car and drive it over
Sounds so simple, but it certainly is a challenging philosophy to live up to every day for thirty years. Ultimately SERVICE is what we hang our hat on and SERVICE is what our clients will always want from us.

We do not have a fancy web based storefront because, we believe, that in order for us to understand your needs, we need to meet face to face, talk daily and sometimes disagree. Even in today’s society of “click and buy,” people still want to pinch the produce, pick out a prime piece of meat at the butcher, smell the fresh baked bread at the bakery, and hopefully, get technology solutions from the people that have been doing it longer and better than anyone else, Add-On Data.

Whenever we hire a new team member, they are always amazed how our small company can accomplish so much. However, it is not long before they too understand that bigger is rarely better, and the secret to success is in the details.

Where else can you pick up the phone and talk to the president of a technology company and see immediate action for your needs? If you have not already tried it — I employ you to call me anytime, my direct extension is 14.

Where else can you talk directly to the guy who has been building custom systems for more than ten years about your particular specifications, or confirm a delivery with a saleswoman who has been servicing her clients for more than eight years?

As we approach the next phase in our evolution with a greater emphasis on custom appliance integration for our OEM and ISV clients, and unique services like our state-of-the-art Solution Centers designed to address all your training and proof-of-concept needs or our Trade-In and Asset Disposal Services which allows us to track your assets and identify equipment that is approaching end-of-life or otherwise eligible for trade-in.

We hope that we have listened enough over the years and we welcome the opportunity to listen some more. My door is always open and I am only a phone call away. We want to thank you for your support the last 30 years and look forward to your continued patronage for the next thirty.

I can only hope that our founder is smiling down on our success by continuing her legacy.
