The CE Mark is required for all non-European companies that plan to sell their appliances in the European Union (EU) and/or European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) countries. Add-On Data has the ability to act as your Authorized Representative to register your appliance with the CE Mark.

Another certification, (UL) Underwriters Laboratories certification of electrical products, is one required by many large and mid-size organizations in the U.S. Add-On Data can also help you facilitate obtaining this certification and can even expedite it if necessary.

As of July 1, 2006, the RoHS Directive bans the sale of electrical or electronic products that contain more than the allowable amount of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. Add-On Data will design your appliance to meet the RoHS Directives and help you obtain the necessary certification to sell these products throughout the European Union.

The FCC requires that all customer premise telecom equipment (FCC Part 15) and network attached telecom equipment (FCC Part 68) to be sold in the U.S. must meet minimum compliance standards. Part 15 requires emissions testing to prevent harmful radio interference, while Part 68 testing is designed to prevent basic harms-to-the-network such as hazardous voltages.
